Yesterday my daughter and I went up to Griffith park to shoots some pictures of her new outfit. We were planning on shooting by the observatory, but after walking half a mile from where we had to park we were stopped by a security guard that said we needed a film permit from the park office. This was just her and I, and all I had was my camera. We did look different, but why is looking out of place a justification for having to pay to do the same thing that all the other people are doing? Being Los Angeles everyone wants to get a slice of the entertainment industry, but I have no such budget, as the pictures are not being sold. We were not bothering anybody, obstructing anything, or causing any damage yet we could not shoot because we did not look like tourists. Does any government agency honor the bill of rights anymore?
